When you're finished using your Surface Pro, fold Surface Pro Signature Type Cover over the front of the screen to make it sleep and keep it safe from scratches and damage. When you're ready to use it again, open Surface Pro Signature Type Cover and press the power button to wake up your Surface. Get started with your Type Cover To update a Surface Pro 7 with build 19041 of Windows 10, choose SurfacePro7_Win10_19041_22.011.9935.0.msi.There are some solutions you can try. First steps if your Surface Type Cover or Keyboard doesn't work Select Start > Power > Shut down and wait a moment for your Surface to shut down. Then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds. If you see the logo screen appear after a few seconds, continue to hold for the full 20 seconds until you see the logo screen again. System software and updates use significant storage space. Protect your screen Make sure the language you're using on your Keyboard (the Keyboard’s layout language) matches the one you're using on your PC (the display language). For best typing results, the Keyboard and display language should match. If the keys are working correctly in UEFI, but not in Windows: The problem is likely with the software installed on the Surface, and you'll need to reinstall. Pressing the fingerprint reader at the Windows sign-in screen has no response and appears not to be recognized.Note: If you don't see a Devices menu, then your device does not provide this functionality and is working as expected. Not all devices have this option on the UEFI screen. Other covers, like the iPad Pro Magic Keyboard, offer a similar experience to the Microsoft Type Cover. Our review of the Magic Keyboard noted that it used the same magnet design as the Type Cover, offering a great typing experience that worked seamlessly with the iPad Pro.
