I'm defiantly excited for when these blasters come out and to make some homemade disks and do some testing of my own. The nerf vortex discs deliver a wide field of view for all your carbon and most autographs in a single package. This is one of my favorite guns in the Vortex line, and when you add the 20 disc magazine from the Nitron, it's even better. Once you hit go, the unit will flash for several seconds before firing all the targets, one at a time. I'm not 100% sure what you're getting at here, but I think we're probably not going to see great performance increases out of homemade discs like there have been with stefans/slugs/homemade darts. They mention that its a very satisfying toy, the discs are not dangerous and that its excellent value for money.I'm planning on getting something from the Vortex series on Saturday, so I can start designing a mold then. The problem with this is the same as all these Nerf guns in that the capacity is too low and the cost of bying the discs to make it last longer is prohibitive.

A few notes: the green discs these guns shoot aren't hard exactly, but the guns do spit them out at a good clip.
