One thing that surprised me a bit was the humor -- it was subtle, but consistently made the story more enjoyable and the characters almost felt more real for it. The dialogue is full of quips, sarcasm, and other expressiveness that I wouldn't typically expect from the genre (though it's not unwelcome!). It's not overplayed or heavy handed, but rather lightens the story as a whole and breaks the tension after heavier scenes. So many people in this world like Nozue get to a certain age where they feel like it is too late to do what they want with their lives and this show essentially reminds you that is never too late to pursue what you want to do, try something new, and have some fun while you are at it. It is slow paced and cute and funny and I'm just wAITING FOR THE NEXT UPDATES BECAUSE PLEASE. THE PART WHERE IT LEFT OF......now why would anyone do this to me.

This is lovely... Seriously... Which is exactly what I expected after reading the masterpiece which is Sagan Sagan's other work. Nozue and Togawa continue visiting more restaurants for sweets. Nozue starts wearing a 3-piece suit after Togawa compliments how he looks in one, but he becomes troubled over hearing remarks about Togawa's attractiveness as well as how close they have gotten. He regularly expresses desire to have grown up as a woman, and multiple times starts thoughts with "If I were a woman..." This lead me to read this story as an older person, who has accepted that they will never actually transition, gets to live out some of the aspects of girlhood they have always wanted. He has a lot of anxieties about his age and change, and it was just perfectly portrayed! I loved that at the end of it all they do talk about it. They may not immediately lay all their cards on the table, but they do eventually talk things out.
