About this deal

It’s not the sharpest lens I’ve ever shot, far from it, but it is by far the sharpest fast aperture lens that I’ve ever shot in this segment. A full turn from close to infinity focus is just around a 150 degree turn, which is really good for acting fast and catching focus in day to day situations.

I had owned all of those 35mm except for the Voitgländer, but this little, shitty lens also took the best of me – all images had some imperfections, but instead of being annoying, they really added something very personal to the image. The hood does add a significant bulk to it, but hey, we all sacrifice something to be prettier right? Far from perfect, but actually quite refreshing in a world largely driven by the pursuit of perfection in optics.I have no accurate measuring tool, but the exposure at set ISO values is EXACTLY the same when shooting the Mitakon at f/0. You will end up with the same exposure as the full frame when you take its added ISO benefits into consideration. It does, however, give a very good impression of the different characteristics of the lenses ranging from sharpness, contrast and bokeh qualities wide open.

Some photos suffered due to the effect bokeh degradation at fast shutter speeds and wide apertures during EFCS (Y Sony a3500 EFCS cannot be turned off). Unfortunately none of the samples I've found demonstrate this, I'm fine with mushy corners as long as the rest of the image is good. manual focus lens gives a lovely standard field of view on an APS-C camera neither wide-angle nor telephoto, so it is a good for casual photography when you pick out your subject.

I never mean for it to take so long between my writing sessions, but the fact of the matter is life always gets in the way.

The focus has an approx 165-degree throw which I wish would be shorter, but this is a very personal thing. and 90mm F4 both these lenses were full frame 35mm lenses and are smaller than most CSC lenses of today. My conclusion is that if something is not good enough for me than I simply cant recommend it to anyone who is reading this and looking for decent lens and IQ. it has the nicer quality lens mount that doesn’t rotate quite as much on the mount at the 55mm lens does. On the other hand I must admit that there is not that much of choice for us and our APSC cameras since all this Vintage glass require Adapters and size and weight goes up. there is a small but noticeable difference in the correct focusing distance when focusing for either contrast or resolution. I don’t have a lot of people to take portraits of, and I have a bit of a thing for cats so… have a ton of cat pictures.

That Pergear 25mm also looks like a really cool option, might consider that although that focal range is lower priority because I'm already very happy with the TTartisan 23mm. A lot of my cheaper manuel focus aftermarket lenses are quite soft when shot wide open, but not this one. a manual focus lens for many photographer shooters, including canon eos, Sony e-mount, fuji x mount and micro-four third mount. Featuring a newly redesigned optical formula for increased sharpness, the lens optics are complemented by a multi-layer coating, which serves to minimize surface reflections, flare, and ghosting for greater contrast and color accuracy in various lighting conditions.

There are significant lens aberrations visible at f/2 and wider, with some heavy longitudinal chromatic aberration in areas of high contrast and visible barrel distortion in some images. That little word that will have all aspiring photographers and seasoned pros going into full drool-mode any day of the week!
