Whether you're visiting the penguins of Antarctica, joining the Carnival in Brazil, or a canoe safari down the Zambezi River, this book brings together more than 100 activities and challenges to inspire armchair adventurers of any age. I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers. Discover the city's vibrant arts scene, savor its exquisite cuisine, and marvel at the stunning Andean backdrop.

The bright pictures and informative text give lots of options - you can skip some of the captions for the younger crowd, use the illustrations to get the kids talking and noticing details, or read everything for a small, focused group. We use Google Analytics to see what pages are most visited, and where in the world visitors are visiting from.

Atlas of Adventures was Lucy’s first book for children, and the series has since grown to include Atlas of Animal Adventures, Atlas of Adventures: Wonders of the World, Atlas of Dinosaur Adventures, Atlas of Ocean Adventures, Atlas of Adventures: Activity Fun Pack, Atlas of Adventures: Travel Edition, and Atlas of Record-Breaking Adventures. Though the business may cause sensory overload for some, I think many children will find their travels taking them to new places, tasting new foods, and meeting new people they had never imagined before. In this gorgeous book featuring the stories of thirteen goddesses from different cultures – Sumeria (now Iraq), China, Mexico, Japan, Nigeria, Greece, Ireland and many more – Xanthe Gresham-Knight reminds us of the powerful women of myth and legend who have always had our backs. His books with Wide-Eyed Editions include Hello Atlas and Atlas of Adventures: Wonders of the World. Atlas of Adventures: Wonders of the World by Rachel Williams, Emily Hawkins and Lucy Letherland | 9781786032171. This is a really cool book- I wish I could retroactively read it as a kid or knew a child who actually appreciated books I gave them! A lover of the great outdoors, she is also the creator of best-selling natural history and adventure books, including The Atlas of Adventure series and Illuminature.

It’s one to help guide you around imagined realms one would only get to in after departing these shores. Depending on your comfort level, you might want to skip this page, or just know about it ahead of time. It’s a way to still explore the world and ‘travel’ now that many people can’t leave their home and a sure way to keep kids entertained.

You'll get to go to sleep under the Northern Lights, meet millions of monarch butterflies in the boreal forests of Mexico's volcanic mountains, shower with an elephant in Chiang Mai and go snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef, among many other amazing adventures. It also provides a true sense of what travel is for as we see those young adventurers meeting local people and joining in with them in a wide range of different activities.
