Mepitel is designed for a wide range of traumatic wounds such as skin tears, abrasions, second degree burns and chronic wounds as well as for fixation of grafts. Wound related pain is commonly experienced and can be distressing for both patients and clinicians (White, 2008; Mudge and Orsted, 2010). Mepitel One is available in packs of 5 in four sizes: 6cm x 7cm, 9cm x 10cm, 13cm x 15cm and 24cm x 27. Mepitel Film maintains a moist environment even though the vapour permeability allows excess moisture pass away from the skin. Mepitel One is a wound contact layer designed for the management of a wide range of exuding wounds such as; skin tears, skin abrasions, surgical incisions, partial thickness burns, traumatic wounds, partial and full thickness grafts, radiated skin, leg and foot ulcers.
