Throughout his life, he was happy and smiling more often than not, but his earthly smile was weak and pale compared to the beautiful heavenly smile he gave me in that vision. In his engrossing book, my friend John Burke surveys the vast literature on NDEs, examining them in light of the Bible and showing how they can help us live with an eye on eternity. Every so often I find a book that I cannot wait to recommend to someone that I feel would be touched or encouraged by its contents.
