About this deal

Ive tried several graphene variants, and concluded that in every use case outside of a test bench, PTM7950 is the superior choice in terms of thermals. I don’t think that sub-250 Watt GPUs will benefit much, or most modern CPUs for that matter, aside from recent i9 models maybe?

Thermal pastes generally uses suspended particles which can impede surface contact between the CPU and heatsink which is the best/most ideal path for heat transfer (IMHO, this is why LM performs so well; it allows almost perfect surface contact). Thermal Grizzly is introducing a new product, KryoSheet, which is part of the company's advertised "High Performance Cooling Solutions". Liquid Metal is top but it kinda bonds on the top layer of the cpu IHS and it’s like impossible to clean without removing also the lettering which makes selling the cpu way more difficult. I recently upgraded my system to a 7800x3d and an Asus RTX 4090 and heard some stories about the fast pumpout effect of thermal pastes on the GPU because of the very high power consumption and therefore high heat generation. However, as a side effect of this complex manufacturing process, the electrical conductivity is also increased. even though I have some thin polyurethane air conditioner foam (and an even thinner strip I got in something I bought that I don't remember), the contact pressure is so anemic on that heatsink with those tiny screws and zero clamping pressure bad excuse for a pressure mount, that any dam would just hurt temps.

I also used TG-PP10 under the Poseidons' larger monoblock heatsink which covers some IC's and the RAM, tested with a thermal probe before/after, and RAM temps are lower as well. In my personal experience these "graphene" products are often just "graphite"—a different form of carbon, or they contain only miniscule amounts of graphene in very small flakes. The graphene thermal pads of the Thermal Grizzly KryoSheet series can be used excellently as an alternative to thermal pastes from the higher performance segment. According to the manufacturer, the pad is made from Graphene, which is a single layer of carbon atoms arranged in a special pattern. But it’s something that it won’t dry out and won’t pump out , it will keep performing just as good even after a year. As a side effect of this complex manufacturing process, however, the electrical conductivity is also increased and the stability of the KryoSheet pads is affected, so that the pads are only to be used according to the instructions! These graphene thermal pads can be used as an excellent alternative for thermal compounds from the higher performance segment. So, not too long ago, my CPU started showing signs that the thermal paste may have dried out too much.

That was with my Noctua Industrial PPM-3000 RPM high static pressure fans running at 100% speed on my Kraken X63 AIO radiator. After putting the KryoSheet in place, and with those same fans running 100% on a freshly cleaned radiator, I cannot even finish a 10 minute run with the CPU clocked down to 5400MHz P-cores / 4000MHz E-cores.I plan to test Kyrosheet in the near future on a 5950X (that I hate taking apart for yearly paste replacements) to see how it performs. I'd be curious if you lapped the cpu/cooler if the results would have been more in line with other results I've seen. Had 7900XTX from Gigabyte and slowly after few months temps have risen to over 100 because of pump out, even though at first it was only at 87. You will still have a functional CPU decades later or until Redmond releases another failed OS update. There are several actions that could trigger this block including submitting a certain word or phrase, a SQL command or malformed data.

After cleaning the contact surface (CPU, CPU cooler, GPU, GPU cooler), the KryoSheet is simply positioned on the processor or graphics chip to be cooled before the cooler is mounted. CPU: AMD Ryzen 7800X3D / Cooling: Core 1 360+1080 / RAM: 32GB 6200 30 37-37-92 / MoBo: AsrRock Taichi X670E / Gfx: XFX 7900XTX MERC / SSD: 2*960GB Corsair MP510 1x Samsung PM9A1 M. Also, no damage to the CPU at all, without any extra paste spilling downwards onto your motherboard . In his review it looked like the KryoSheet was doing just as well as the thermal paste he had used on his test-bed.

I have been using this on my 4090 for 6 months with amazing results -- the PTM Sheet that came OEM developed a bald spot and i had a 30C delta on hotspot vs core with fans at max ramp, now I can't hear it anymore while gaming. Around the same time, I stumbled upon a review from Jays2cents, a review of KryoSheet Graphene thermal interface sheet from Thermal Grizzly. KryoSheet does not contain any liquid components and is therefore not subject to normal ageing as is the case with traditional thermal paste.
