The impressively sized family tent boasts an improved angled beam structure that delivers more useable living space for furniture, storage or room to stretch out. Blowing the air ribs up (5 of them) is simple, just attach the supplied pump, push it up and down a few times whilst watching the pressure gauge and that’s it. Move along from front to rear, ensuring the the internal ground sheet is flat as you peg down the bass of the tent. It’s an 8 berth tent, made up of 2 large rooms with dividers to make each into 2 smaller rooms and a large living area in the middle. Take car to ensure any stones or sharp objects are removed before you lay the footprint down so as not to damage the main tent later. It also comes with it’s own pump, which is the same as the one supplied with the tent itself – which now means you have a spare pump if one breaks. The airbeams can be unzipped from their retaining section but care must be taken to deflate them first so as to prevent injury.

There are also two rood vents in the living area which pop up to allow some ventilation and reduce condensation. If you dont already have a berghaus tent, then beware of the limitation of the porch, its OK and I wouldnt be without mine, but it does feel like it was designed as a bit of an afterthought. If any other people come with us, we either make use of the room dividers or stick them in the middle section. However, there is one piece of camping kit that is worth it’s weight in gold and we don’t know how we could ever manage without it again – we have been spoilt.
