I’d like to see it with one more hull section and a slightly larger cabin in the back with a few more play features. I didn't compare the two because I did not want to turn the review into me ranting about lack of cannons and details etc. Box shows some signs of wear and has been opened and has some creases and a small hole, but intact and will seal up again. With swords, pistol, telescope, and compass accessories in hand, you can pit Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, Davy Jones, Joshamee Gibbs, Maccus, and Bootstrap Bill against the ghostliest of enemies. Includes 6 minifigures: Jack Sparrow with compass, Will Turner, Joshamee Gibbs, Davy Jones, Maccus and Bootstrap Bill with assorted weapons Features large black sails, firing cannons, pirate flag, anchor and turning helm Also includes opening cabin with detailed interior Cast the anchor!

His presence in the set is a bit baffling, as far as I can recollect he was only aboard the Pearl in one scene, to confront Calypso in the brig. It’s not clear if the hinged sides are there for play access or just to keep the lines of the ship. This is the rewritten version of the original review that we posted in the now deleted Facebook Page. It includes Jack Sparrow, Davy Jones, Joshamee Gibbs, Will Turner, Maccus, and Bootstrap Bill Turner minifigures. Maybe it was very easy for me because the bags were clearly marked - the instructions were easy to follow, even without the use of words.

The ship feels large and is pretty functional although as usual, it gets a little cramped on decks with the sails in the way. Because this set was the early work of Lepin, you could pretty much throw the minifigures away as the quality wasn’t that good. He is also a member of the Playwell-Bricks designer team, a group of highly talented individuals who design and produce incredible projects of all shapes and sizes at the clients request. When it was finally released, instead of unbridled glee, the reception within the AFOL community was met with an echoing thud! I cannot wait to get the Queen Ann's Revenge Set, Lego Brick Beards Bounty (ship) and the Imperial Flagship(someday) and make a big pirates war.

This is a large acrylic display case designed for LEGO ® Disney 4184 Black Pearl ship from Pirates of the Caribbean.Pros: The assembly process is very easy on the eyes as the instructions manuals (there are 2 of them, yup it's that cool) and it's fine for people, like me, who has a bit of a nimble fingers. The Directions said to place it in a certain spot doing this it make the sail look a little flimsy to me.

You get 6 Minifigs (incl Jack Sparrow, Davy Jones, Mr Gibbs, William Bootstrap Turner, Will Turner, Hammer Head Guy), and that is a good crew for action right there! When I was a kid the toys were properly dangerous, from the scolding hot Thingmaker to the launching missiles of the Colonial Viper. I know first hand experience that it’s very difficult to photograph a black model, and they did a fine job of it (of course, they’ve mastered the art) but why make all the box so dark? Sails are not included, which could be forgiven if there was a graphic template inside the building instructions with diagrams and dimensions to make your own sails out.
