I've been told by my girlfriend that when she smells this it's the only thing she wants to wear, so make of that what you will. For my bottle, the base notes are there, but they are incredibly weak, and thus the fragrance is pretty much gone after the opening. It smells like it could be pulled off by older businessmen holding conferences, but as for a youthful vibe in the fall, hoping for an attractive appeal. It lasts all day it has good staying power which is one of the reasons why my fiance likes it he can put it on in the morning to go to work and by the time he is back home around 9hours later you can still smell it on him.

Mid dry down smells woody like a cabinet full of lipstick and foundation (iris notes) and settles down powdery. The drydown reminded me of extremely subtle version of Chanel's Egoïste once it has become less predatory and finally settled down lol.

I always see people talking about how bad the performance is… let me tell you, performance is not everything, you should wear a perfume for how nice it is, some perfumes are fleeting and beautiful. This fits into the character of person who ‘doesn’t wear cologne’, and this is their only bottle, for special occasions. If one were able to manifest a scent from their warmest and most intimate memories - this would be it. It's a versatile fragrance that can be worn on any occasion, from a formal event to a casual dinner date.

The cedar you can definitely smell but you cannot really smell the other notes in here, which is good because I don't think i'd want to smell like either coriander or basil tbh.It also changed the way I look at fragrances and made me explore the fragrance world more, which eventually turned me into a collector . I feel the smell is not to over powering but just right with different smells which to me smells excotic. Delight in the delicate layers of jasmine, lily of the valley, and white lily, perfectly complemented by the rich notes of plum.

you (no pun intended) Only downside is performance I get about 5,5 hours on my skin and a very soft projection. For me this is a dumb reach fragrance, one that can be worn in ANY situation and not offend anybody's sniffer. Infact it has a good strength to it when it's sprayed and the scent itself isn't watered down or weak, it's just it doesn't last very long and doesn't project. He's the genius puppeteer who enabled Keith Richards to "play guitar" for the last three Rolling Stones tours. The only reason I wouldn't recommend this is it has pretty low lasting power, and next to no projection unless you spray 15 times.But paying that sort of designer premium for absolutely dismal performance/projection is nothing short of heinously immoral. edp buffs the spicy cardamom and sweet amber up, the tobacco is there but its been overpowered by the other scents. Opens up beautifully and the dry down is equally pleasant, it's a mainstream scent with mass appeal and is a compliment getter. The ambery drydown is not too far behind the boisterous opening, and this is where this bad boy turns out to really be a momma’s boy, ready to escort her to the opera, charm her friends and not cause too much of a stir.
