I Have all the determination and willpower in the world for a diet that works, but after 2 or 3 months of no fat or weight loss, it is clear that it doesn't work. Fasting no doubt has benefits for other scientific reasons but all her claims in terms of your cycle are exaggerated.

Would recommend this to any woman, looking to get healthier and more informed about her own hormones / body reactions to food. Fasting is a metabolic switch from burning glucose to burning fat (ketosis) that gives us a host of benefits such as cellular healing (autophagy), fat/weight loss, immune system repair, improved stomach microbiome, and more. And then what I did is I went to YouTube, and I taught all the women on my YouTube channel, how to make these modifications to their fasting lifestyle. Mindy will teach you- * the right steps on how to go from eating all day to intermittent fasting (13-15 hours) * how to safely fast longer if you choose to do so (15-72 hours) * how to time fasting according to your menstrual cycle (although if you don't have a cycle, she has you covered) * the best foods to break your fast to achieve better metabolic health This book also includes more than 50 recipes based on the two food plans-ketobiotic and hormone feasting-she created to best support women's hormones. Sure, it might be worth reading, and I know women have more to think about when it comes to fasting than men do.The information was really useful and I learned additional information to what I already knew which I am happy and grateful for however, this is 8 hours of repetitive information that could have been condensed into 2. For reasons I don't understand at some points in the middle of chapter music will start playing music for 2 minutes or so. I decided to start intermittent fasting a few months ago and lots of women recommend this book on the support groups.

This should be required reading for any and every woman on the planet wanting to bring metabolic flexibility, vitality and longevity to their life! So the first section I make, I might be the most proud, because the editor that I worked with on this book, her name is Kathy Hawk, and I am so grateful to her, because she was an editor slash writing coach, and really pushed me hard on that first section to nail that first section, which is the science of fasting. Again, studies where N=1 are not compelling (but it’s encouraging to think that if Sharon, or Bridget, or whoever can do it, so can I!Bibliomysteries are mystery stories which deal in some significant way with books and the world associated with books. Losing weight (if you are overweight) and eating well is proven to balance hormones because you often have an estrogen imbalance if you are overweight. About half way through this book the author started talking about using weekly coffee enemas, sleeping with castor oil packs over your liver, red light therapy and having your breast implants removed - if fasting wasn’t working for you.
