Description

Suitable for both cold and hot therapies, the reusable pack contains a non-toxic gel that retains heat. If a longer period of cool therapy is required we would suggest also purchasing a spare reusable gel pack. All you need to do is warm the pack in the microwave, or chill it in the fridge/freezer, and mould it over the area of pain: the thermal gel inside the pack does the rest.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Heat should not be applied directly after injury, you have to wait for the swelling to die down before treating with heat therapy. Or, if you are in the acute phase and need to apply cold every 2 hours then keeping both in the freezer means you will always have one ready to go at the right temperature. Heat is used to promote blood flow to an injured area in the sub acute or chronic injury and to induce relaxation of local muscles that may be in spasm. When warm, remove the gel pack from the microwave, wipes off any excess water and place the gel pack into the pocket of the wrap. However, later in the rehabilitation process, when the acute phase has passed, alternating hot and cold, or applying just heat may be more beneficial. It is an essential piece of kit to keep in the freezer to apply immediately after acute sprains, strains and contusions. The gel pack should never be applied directly to skin, when cold or warm, and the temperature should always be checked carefully before handling. After heating or chilling, wrap the pack in a towel (or put it in a cold pack cover) and apply it to the area of the body you wish to treat.

Cool your reusable gel pack in the freezer or heat in the microwave to provide effective treatment for sprains, strains and delayed-onset muscle soreness. Also, hot weather means you need to have cooling options on hand for you and your loved ones (human and animal). Refunds are also issued according to the way you originally purchased your items and only processed after we receive your goods and the relevant checks have been made.It is the weight of gel in the pack rather than its dimensions which determines how long the pack stays hot or cold. Remove the blue gel pack from the pocket of the wrap, place in a bowl of water and place in a microwave. Cold Therapy: for fast relief from sprains, strains, bruises and swelling, headaches and minor injuries. Heat packs can be used to ease the pain of acute and chronic injuries, such as strains, sprains and muscle spasms.Thank you for your feedback, the heating process is dependent on wattage from room temperature, as stated in the instructions on the back of the pack. If the bag breaks and fluid contacts the skin or eyes, cease using the product and flush contact area with water.
