The information is solid, and I found it still current, despite my dated references throughout this post suggesting otherwise. Which are valid criticisms, since The Home Edit is definitely too focus on the visual aspect of home decor to the point where it seems like a hard system to actually live with. Overall, it is a good guide for those already onto the organizing path, written in an upbeat casual, perfectly edited style. American - so lots of the suggested charities etc will mean nothing to most of us but the principles are the same. The only chapters I didn't read thoroughly were the ones on kids and the garage/attic since those don't really apply to me. I initially took this title out of the library, but quickly realized that I would need a copy of my own to reference through every step of the way! I do not want to spend the time warming up everything on the stovetop or waiting for the oven to preheat.

The family and I are finally off on our rescheduled two-week trip to Europe after a major passport fail this summer. Over the years she created a signature decluttering and organisation process that promotes sustainability, achieves lasting results, and can be applied to anyone, regardless of their space or lifestyle.

I am amazed how much I can tackle in that amount of time (or feel the motivation to then keep going. Delicately push back the cuticles (using a cuticle pusher or a stick), then work around them using selected bits. Natural light-filled rooms and closets are in lovely white and neutral palettes and are not jarring, nor overdone.
