I'm hoping that there is a follow up and this eventually because somewhat of a series, which I don't normally read, if that's telling you anything about how enjoyable this one was!

This book was so poorly written, if I didn’t know it was only written to cash in on the deuxmoi name, I wouldn’t understand why it was even published. You just wonder how in the world she has a job and how in the world did she even get to the level that she was at. Now, it feels like in a lot of rom-coms, there really isn't as much focus on the heroine's corporate life. But when the account grows overnight and, even wilder, when she starts getting gossip from fans - juicy gossip - she has to face facts: her Instagram is now famous. Having to read about a fictionalized Deuxmoi (but still Deuxmoi) having poorly written and cringe-worthy phone sex with this man and masturbating a couple of times was actually horrible. I genuinely cannot believe that I, after an extremely long reading slump, picked up a book about a GOSSIP INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT and thought it would be entertaining literature. That being said, the book flows well and it’s a great book to keep you more than entertained on a flight without WiFi (If you know, you know) and capturing the urgency of not being connected 24/7. But when the account grows overnight and, even wilder, when she starts getting gossip from fans and insiders — juicy gossip—she has to face facts: her Instagram is now famous. It's a fictional tale of how the app became to be, but this fictional story is absolutely horrendous and comes off like someone's fantasy diaries fobbed off for a grade in English class.It catches on and fuelled by some of Cricket’s own celebrity spottings and gossip, it takes off to the point where everyone is ready to spill to deuxmoi. Despite being fiction, there are definitely references and parallels to real life that you'll be dying to unpack. It's a wild romp through the assistant trenches, a glitzy peek at the lives of the rich and famous, and a page-turning tale about what happens when one impulsive decision spirals out of control. It was interesting seeing some real-life events that I know Deuxmoi played a part in (like the Armie Hammer scandal) get a fictional spin in this novel, but the plot wasn't nearly tight enough or interesting enough.
