When I got the sample pack from Francesca, I immediately adored Angel's Dust and Sex and the Sea, but when I smelled The Dark Side, I was dismissive. This soon melts on your skin into a cosy, biscuit-y amber with the rose still perceivable in the background to steer the fragrance away from the gourmand. Certain essential oils and absolutes that are used in her 100% natural perfumes may potentially cause allergies in some people. It’s a very lovely scent, I can certainly see this working on both men and women and anyone in between.

So, if you find Dior Sauvage to be one of the most merciless assaults on your senses that you've ever experienced, you will also hate The Dark Side because it utilizes the same style of overdosing an uber-amber as Sauvage (and many others, but Sauvage is the most well known example). It would be marvelous weared by someone who likes incense, as it presents in the middle phase and remains there, but because of my personal taste it's not for me.

I love this extrait , it make me feel so confortable and remarkable, when i am wearing it a feel the fragrance all the time… the leather, honey, vanilla, incense are amazing, the long lasting is awesome, my girlfriend smelt my neck the next day of i used it, and she could find the dark side.

Ultimately, the "darkness" feels more like "depth" and, as others on here have commented, I also find it less "sexy" and more "esoteric". It just arrived today good condition well packaged after its long journey smells so beautiful fresh rose 🌹 at most perfume for the every day/night outings 😊. Dark Side merges treacly undertones of Sweet Rum and Marzipan together with earthy notes of Forest Woods and Ambergris, giving this highly addictive scent an unparalleled intensity. I have felt that with the Dark Side so I will be pursuing a bottle of The Dark Side in the near future. currently working through her three perfumes and, upon initial tries, i really can't wait to see more from this artist.

I can actually get past the tire smell but the combination of all those notes smelled to me like something not meant to be used as a fragrance.However, I get a velvety smooth amber with a hint of woodsy leather and warm sepia toned powder on top of creamy patchouli and vanilla. I love violet in every shape or form, but when it is paired with iris and earthy, balmy notes, it is at its best.
