About this deal

But when a client calls Avery with an opportunity to house sit for him (well, fish sit) she can’t say no! Seems simple enough, watch the house and keep his fish alive. So the actual scene leading up to the attempted threesome and the attempted threesome itself. Let me reestablish two things: Avery got cheated on by her long-term boyfriend. And Avery and Finn both agreed that the “relationship” they have going on was exclusive, no sharing, just them. So now let me say that the attempted threesome scene starts with AVERY kissing an OW!!!!!! Did we really need a cheater move in a story about a woman healing from the trauma of the action’s of a cheater???? Like please don't make me read this.

Actually, let me talk about my two favorite things about this book first. If I had to base the rating on those alone, it would be an EASY 5 stars. Kay Cove is a masterful writer, her prose flows with ease and I never felt the overall tone of the dialogue lose its steam at any point. While yes, some word choices in the dialogue could’ve been better (ahem, queen), I enjoyed her writing, I really did. Even more than that, I really enjoy the way Kay Cove writes spice. It’s hot without going over the top, it’s sweet when it needs to be, in the best ways, without crossing the line to cringe, and when the kink started getting involved? Honestly, Kay Cove's writing shined during the spice scenes, she never missed (well, until one fateful scene). I loved that Finn was Avery's biggest supporter and admirerer. He really loved her inside and out (he turned her inside out as well 🥵). It was so good to read about a heavier girl and that, yes, very hot guys can fall head over heels for heavier girls. It's all about confidence! No man should make you feel bad about the way you look. Kay knows how to write both female and male characters. Her writing has become some of my favorites. Both Finn and Avery feel like real people that you’d enjoy hanging out with. I love their personalities and interactions. The strong presence of communication between the main characters made this book even hotter ( like Finn!!!!! can you stop flirting with my mind!!!!❤️)

But if you are sensitive to any of the tropes listed at the top of my review, or usually shy away from excess OW stuff or cheating of ANY level or kind, then I hope you find this helpful to your reading experience, whether you read or not. Y’all the steam in this book is *chefs kiss* and had me SWEATING 🥵😮‍💨 Finn’s mouth was so dirty and I freaking LOVED it. Let’s not forget to mention our amazing MMC, Finn 😍. I am so in love with his character and thoroughly depressed that I have yet to meet a man even remotely similar to him.

He's the teacher, and I'm his student. My lesson is learning to love the body I have. In exchange, I'm going to save his business. I have exactly one summer to unearth the most confident version of myself before I go home and return to reality. On my thirtieth year on the planet, I thought I might get a ring. What I didn’t expect was for my boyfriend and business partner to break up with me because he couldn’t stand the thought of spending the rest of their lives with me and having nothing but boring sexual encounters. Finn is a struggling photographer whose specialty is boudoir photography. And after a string of meaningless hookups he’s taken a vow of abstinence - until Avery makes a business proposal too good to be true:Finn, oh man Finn! I loved everything about him. He is this super sexy man dealing with his own insecurities and past relationship trauma but he champions women every day for his job. He’s literally dedicated to making women see for themselves that they’re beautiful and worthy! I love that he had this possessive side that wasn’t throwing out red flags. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God!?? That was the fastest I’ve read a book all year. Holy crap, this was good. This book was a true journey of self love. It has the “teach me sex” trope you have may have read in other books, but this book does it BEST. I love it because it wasn’t provocative, but rather, like I said, all about self-love, and finding the inner confidence to be yourself in a relationship and especially in the bedroom. It was heartwarming, inspiring, and HOT!! I just love how the two of them worked together to help each other improve different aspects of their lives. Her self image and his business. This was a me thing, mostly, more than an issue with the book. The spice in this book was FANTASTIC and I really liked the MMC, but I had a really hard time connecting with the FMC. I sympathized with her body image issues, but there was no where near enough growth in the book for me and it felt like only in the last 2 percent did she finally feel like she could accept herself. I struggled with the negative self-talk and how repetitive it was becoming when she was having so much positive reinforcement to help her through the issues.

Her neighbor for now is Finn, an adonis who can get every girl he wants. But the only girl he really wanted and loved was too toxic for him, and he had to let her go. Now, he just wants to keep away from relationships and one night stands. But Avery has caught his eye, and he is determined to make her see how beautiful she is. Finn is going to teach Avery how to feel beautiful in bed and out. She is a QUEEN, and he is going to make damn sure she knows what she's worth.

Don't ever forgive him for being in the presence of royalty and refusing to bow. You're sexy, smart, kind, and loyal. You should be earned every day of your life. Don't ever let any man make you question that." The best time to read a book depends on your personal schedule and preferences. Here are some suggestions:

But after a passion-fueled summer, I’m not sure of who I am anymore, and it’s clear that the worst heartbreak of my life might still be yet to come. Details About Camera Shy And that is what happened… and kind of not. I’m not sure I’ll be able to put all my feelings into words on this book. I think the most accurate to my feelings are that while I respect, admire, and appreciate the premise of a story like this, parts of the actual execution missed the mark. I’ll go deeper into the areas that affected me negatively later, but first a bit more on the story for context.Finn was all things , real life boyfriend goals all wrapped up in that " tatted , rough"/bad boy exterior. But he is gOoooOOOd through and through. With over a decade of professional narration experience and a member of SAG-AFTRA, Lee follows the directions of the manuscript, working to stay in the moment and not force anything, letting the natural story and characterizations do the work. Similarly, and unless otherwise noted, he prefers to keep accents as light as possible. With an easygoing general American dialect, he has a natural ear that translates to comfort with all American accents as well as British, European, Australian, Middle Eastern and whatever is called for. No BDSM, M/M, or nonconsensual/dark material. Both Avery and Finn have experienced unjust treatment in previous relationships. The thought of them finally meeting and falling in love warms my heart. Avery and Finn decide they can help each other out – Finn will explore sex with Avery and show her ways to love herself, both through a man’s/romantic partner’s view, as well as the view she holds for herself, and Avery can use her business acumen to revive Finn’s floundering livelihood. But will they be able to keep their emotions out of it, and keep from falling in love before the summer ends and Avery leaves?
