Escalation, released December 2013, contained rules for playing games with super heavy vehicles, normally restricted to Apocalypse events, in normal events. Escalation was not updated, and in the current iteration of the game super heavy vehicles can be used in the core rules.

While there have been some significant changes to the phases, the movement phase still takes place simultaneously, and you now have a specific reserves step. A unit can be affected by more than one source of Inconceivable Customisation, but duplicated results have no effect. This is good because you can’t score everything in a single turn. So if you do want to discard a card, make sure it’s one you can basically never achieve, as you can only pitch one the entire game (well, with this Stratagem at least)!

If every model in an INFANTRY unit is on or in an Area Terrain feature with this trait, then it can either Hold Steady or it can Set to Defend (see below) when an enemy unit declares a charge against it.

The mission still goes for five rounds; the victor is whoever destroys the other army or scores more points at the end. Again, nothing too crazy here, just some good clarification of what all the words mean in terms of your army. Coherency & Engagement Range Games Workshop planned to sell conversion kits by which players could modify their Warhammer Fantasy models to wield futuristic weaponry such as laser weapons, but eventually Games Workshop decided to create a dedicated line of models for Warhammer 40,000. Relics

Ninth edition also introduced four new box sets: Indomitus, a limited release set that came out at the start of 9th edition, and the Recruit, Elite and Command editions. The four boxes feature revised designs and new units for the Necrons, and new units for the Primaris Space Marines.
