Its electronic current limiter protects the motor from overload and there is a warning lamp which will turn on to warn of impending overload and also warns of low battery. Anti-restart function for safety means motor will not start if charged battery is inserted with switch on. The Makita DGA458 is a 115mm Angle Grinder with a Brushless Motor giving an impressive no-load speed of 8,500 rpm. The high powered motor is fitted with a battery protection circuit designed to protect the battery from damage due to overdischarge, high temperature or overload current. The machine is sold without battery or charger. Built-in L.E.D. light provides overload motor protection warning due to over-torque and low battery recharge warning
