About this deal

When viewed for the first time, it's hard not to gush over the QN900A's stark minimalism, which aims to make everything but the content you're watching melt away from view. If you've owned or used a Samsung TV in the last few years, you'll know more or less what to expect from the QN900A's smart Tizen-based OS. Combining the soundbar with the TV’s speakers instantly adds a stronger sense of height to the mix – not least because the vertical effects seem to have more directness thanks to the way they’re coming forwards from the TV rather than only being reflected from your ceiling by upfiring drivers. Q-Symphony appears to help lift voices to a slightly higher place in the mix, alleviating the low vocals issue noted earlier. As well as suggesting that the Q930B is a more bespoke and hopefully balanced product than Samsung’s previous step-down soundbars, this smaller main soundbar could also appeal to people whose TV or furniture design makes it hard to accommodate the Q990B’s bigger main unit. For controlling them, they both give you some options. On the top of their bar, there are some buttons and small display that indicates inputs, settings, and volume level. You can adjust the volume by pressing (+) or (-) button. There is also a button that lets you to turn Microphone On and Off. Meanwhile, to change the input, you can use the multi function button. In addition physical control, they both also come with a remote control. Their remote is small and simple. You can use it for controlling some features like change inputs, change sound mode, set volume, etc. Nevertheless, this remote doesn’t support universal remote, which means you cannot control other devices with this remote. However, these bars also support HDMI CEC, allowing you to control some of their features via TV’s remote.

As with the Q990B, the balance and consistency of the Q930B’s sound seems to benefit from the built-in Space Fit auto calibration system. Certainly, after running the Space Fit utility, no individual channel sounded either under- or over-represented in a movie mix. Turning to music, the Q930B is a mixed bag. Volume levels are enormous, far beyond anything your average Hi-Fi system might manage, and within that volume range, detail levels are excellent without becoming excessive or clinical. Music vocals are staged well - actually slightly better than they are on the Q990B, arguably. The speakers of two Samsung TVs we used the Q800A with, a 65QN95A and a 75Q900A, blended in with the power and tone of the soundbar surprisingly well overall. There’s a slight reduction in mid-range meatiness in Q Symphony mode compared with using the soundbar alone, and dialogue sounds a touch thinner. As the LEDs are far smaller, they're able to achieve far more precision and less blooming, so the act of seeing bright areas of the screen unnaturally bleed over into darker spots should be greatly reduced or not evident at all.

All the most popular apps and services are present and accounted for on Samsung's OS, and there's a dedicated Apps tile with further app suggestions which you can install. The HW-Q900A soundbar has excellent stereo performance. With standard presets, it has a neutral sound profile suitable for listening to a variety of audio content. Nevertheless, the low frequencies do not reach the deep ones a little. Therefore, heavy bass music sounds truncated. But the Q900A soundbar has a graphic equalizer, as well as separate bass and treble settings to help customize its sound. Auto EQ Both of the Samsung HW-Q900A and HW-Q900A have great selection of sound enhancement features. Their sound enhancement feature is equally complete. They both have Room Correction feature called SpaceFit and also Auto EQ that uses a microphone that’s built-in to the subwoofer to automatically adjust the sound reproduction based on a room you are listening in. Additionally, they both also already support Auto Volume/Night mode, allowing them can automatically lower the sound in the night. Meanwhile, to manually maximize their sound reproduction based on your own preference and audio type of content, they both have Bass Level Adjustment, Sub-Woofer Level Adjustment, Treble Adjustment, both graphic and presets EQ, Surround Level Adjustment, and Height Level Adjustment. Special for the HW-Q950A that have rear speaker, it also have Rear Level Adjustment. This of course gives you a complete freedom to customize the sound reproduction according to your taste. The Q800A is not just about ‘big moments’, though. It’s also sensitive and sophisticated enough in the way it projects its sound to ensure that no detail goes missing in even the densest mixes – no matter how subtle or quiet it might be. With the arrival of its QN900A range, Samsung has essentially stepped into a new television category, giving its already high-end 8K displays a rather significant Mini LED upgrade. Because of this, Samsung's Neo QLED 8K lineup doesn't come cheap.

The sound isn’t particularly different to that of 2020’s Q800T unless you’re using it in conjunction with a Q70A or above Samsung TV. Since the Q800T was already an outstanding soundbar, though, the ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ adage applies. As we have discussed a lot above, both of the Samsung HW-Q900A and HW-Q950A are great soundbars for mixed usage overall. Whether you use them for movies, TV Shows, or listening music or podcast, their performance is equally great. They both also can get very loud with almost no distortion at max volume, making them are still suitable for a large room or a crowded party. Meanwhile, the great selections of sound enhancement features let you to customize and maximize sound reproduction according to your own preferences. While there's not a lot that can be done with older standard definition content these days, we were glad to see that it didn't look especially stretched out or fuzzy on this massive 8K screen. Despite not sporting the Q990B’s Acoustic Lens, the Q930B’s subwoofer underpins the impressive dynamics of the main soundbar with ample amounts of deep but also impressively nimble bass. Precious few rival soundbar subwoofers can hit the same sort of depths without sounding forced, phutty or dislocated from the rest of the sound. At the same time, though, the Q930B’s sub doesn’t overwhelm the main soundbar, despite that soundbar being significantly smaller than the one provided with the Q990B.The Q930B does not, though, get an extra calibration feature the Q990B does: Auto EQ. This continually monitors and tweaks the way the Q990B’s subwoofer sounds in relation to the rest of the soundstage, so hopefully we won’t find the Q930B’s bass element suffering too heavily from its absence. One last point issue with the Q930B’s movie performance was that I found myself a little more tired at the end of a relentlessly loud movie such as Dune than I did with the more full-blooded Q990B. Knox Guard ในสินค้าเครื่องใหม่ที่เข้าร่วมโปรโมชั่นเก่าแลกใหม่ ก่อนทำการจัดส่งสินค้าเครื่องใหม่ให้ลูกค้า Taking advantage of Samsung's Multi-Intelligence AI upscaling, the QN900A was consistently able to produce images that looked better than their source. We're not saying that it made any 4K content look like native 8K, but it did make it appear better than Ultra HD when viewed up close.
