About this deal

The handle integrated into the design makes it easy to transport the electric cool box to your desired location, providing easy access to its contents during your trip. The hygienic wipe-clean exterior and interior make it simple to keep your cool box maintained and spotless, ensuring that your food and drinks remain sanitary and safe for consumption. Despite being a decent-sized cool box (storage volume measures 63 x 51 x 42cm), the Eco Deep is portable enough to move around when required. Weight is a fairly hefty 17kg, but the presence of a decent folding handle and wheels makes transport simple and efficient. Dimensions are reasonably compact at 26.9 (W) x 32.2(D) x 38(H) cm, and we found this an excellent size for a few nights away in our tent. It’s a great option for a mini-break or an afternoon retreat as it is small enough to be easily carried using the ergonomic handle on top. However, it’s probably more of a fridge than a coolbox to take picnicing – just bear this in mind!

Are you looking for a cool, cool box? This patterned 45L barrel may be just what you are looking for! Additionally, the Klarstein BeerBelly 29 offers maximum flexibility with multiple power options, including a power cord, cigarette lighter, and USB, making it suitable for various situations and environments. The product’s large 29-litre capacity ensures ample space for storing and transporting your items.

Having had the pleasure of using the Allied UK 24L Electric Cool Box recently, I must say I was genuinely impressed with its performance. The large 24-litre capacity ensured that I had more than enough room for storing food and drinks during my camping trip, and the hard-wearing plastic construction gave me peace of mind that it would withstand the journey’s harsh conditions. Although at Camping Secrets we always try to offer value-for-money recommendations on gear, the truth is that sometimes it’s worth buying from a reputable manufacturer – we’ve found that this is especially true for powered items. You may pay slightly more than the cheapest Chinese imports (which can often be built in the same factory!), but you get peace of mind that the company will stand behind their product.

The advantage of a compressor fridge (i.e. like one you would use at home in your kitchen) is the speed, controllability and power of the cooling on offer. With the Eco Deep Extreme, you can lower the internal temperature from 25°C to 0°C in just 19 minutes which is exceptional. As mentioned previously, you can then disconnect the power so that the insulation is put to work and your food can remains frozen for several hours without using any more juice. One other great feature of the cool box is how it manages to protect the car’s battery from completely running out of juice; it stops drawing current if it senses that your car battery is about to go kaput! Handy when you’re wild camping miles from anywhere. The handle, which can also help keep the lid in position when you need the box open, is super-strong and handy. As for the interior of the Hi-Gear, it isn’t partitioned – however, as a result it can easily be cleaned using water and a small piece of cloth without any fuss. We love the fact that it comes with an internal basket, a built-in LED light for viewing your grub at night, and an adjustable thermostatically-controlled temperature system. There is a digital display too which we found legible and easy to use. Cooling Ability Cooling is by the thermoelectric effect and again is a little limited. It will get you to around 10°C in our experience on a standard UK spring day (i.e. not too hot outside). Vonshef actually suggest 12°C as the minimum temperature which is way off from where we would prefer to be – around 5-6°C. Still, it can definitely chill and is great for cooling drinks in this respect, when you don’t have to be completely ice cold. However, it surpasses the Klarstein BeerBelly in terms of heating capability, reaching temperatures between 60-65°C, making it ideal for keeping take-away boxes or food hot. Another advantage of the Berg 45L is its portability, with convenient wheels and folding handles that make transportation effortless. Both cool boxes offer multiple power options, including a power cord, cigarette lighter, and 240V UK and 220V EU plugs.

You work at BID, what a legend.

Compared with the Klarstein BeerBelly 29 Electric Cool Box, the Berg 45L Electric Portable Cool/Warm Box offers an even larger capacity of 45 litres, allowing you to store up to 72 standard 330ml cans. This makes it an excellent choice for those who require extra space for their cooling needs. The Berg 45L Cool/Warm Box also provides a cooling capability of 16°C below ambient temperature, which is comparable to the Klarstein model. The cheapest cool box in our recommendation is the HI-GEAR 20L Cooler. It is another 12V only system which can cool food and drinks to around the 10°C mark. For the money, it’s excellent value and has a few extra little design touches we like. The EcoCool offers two cooling modes with a cooling delta of up to 25°C below the outdoors temperature on the MAX setting operation. This means that even on a scorching day, you can still get temperatures close to freezing. The Klarstein BeerBelly 29 Electric Cool Box offers a unique combination of cooling and warming functions, allowing you to maintain the perfect temperature for your food and drinks during outdoor excursions. What sets this cool box apart is its three different connection options – 230V, cigarette lighter, and USB. This versatility ensures that you can use it both indoors and outdoors, catering to your specific needs.

The electric cool box should be easy to move and carry around, especially if you plan to take it on trips. Look for lightweight designs and comfortable handles or straps. Power SourceCapacity: how many people will you be catering for? The size of cool bags are often described in litres rather than people, but as a rule of thumb, 18 litres will carry between 25-28 cans, 30 litres will fit around 50, and anything above this will be large enough for a variety of food and drink vessels However, the same user noted that the cool box works well on AC and DC power. Another user praised the sturdiness and ample storage capacity of the cool box, finding it suitable for camping trips. On the other hand, a different user expressed initial concerns about the quality upon inspection, mentioning missing screws from the switches and the absence of labeling. However, they planned to provide an update on the product’s performance after using it.
