About this deal

We love it! It was so exciting when the facts came together to come to a conclusion. We are hooked!" - Kim M.

Love murder mystery books and TV shows? Wish you could get in on the puzzle-solving action? Well, my friend, do we have some subscription boxes for you! Why you’ll want to solve this mystery: This digital murder mystery requires a printer, fifty-seven sheets of paper, and your team. That’s it! There’s no time like the present for a murder mystery dinner party, right? Pour yourself a glass of vino and get started on our wine tasting murder mystery game, or get the flags out for our monarchy and royal family themed kit instead. Prefer something more extravagant? Our masquerade murder mystery is always a crowd-pleaser. Seasonal Games Cosykiller is like an Agatha Christie novel but with you playing Miss Marple! No conclusions are drawn; the puzzling and detection is up to you. DID YOU KNOW? We were honored to be chosen by USA Today for their Top Ten List! We've also created immersive mysteries in partnership with some of the world’s biggest entertainment and media companies like 21st Century Fox and publisher Penguin Random House to promote new movies and books! It is up to you to decide which pieces of evidence are relevant to the case, informative, or red herrings. For each category, I'll rank the game systems and list my number of "scenarios" played of each, as well as give comments on the amount of content for each one. I'll also include if there is a required app as well as I know some care about that. Why you’ll want to solve this mystery: You’ll even get recipe and decorating suggestions for keeping the mood and theme authentic. Murder Mystery in a Box is basically exactly what it sounds like: a murder mystery delivered to your home for you to solve. Each box has clues and items you’ll need to conduct an investigation and find out who the killer is.

Most of the listed subscriptions work better if you have your family or crew helping you out, but don’t let that stop you from taking on any case on your own. Hello my armchair sleuths, fans of true crime, lovers of the macabre. If you’re reading this, chances are you’re already in the know about Hunt A Killer. If not, let me clue you in. Along these lines, if you imagine you’ll be playing with children or other members of your family or friend group who aren’t too keen on the more graphic stuff, maybe opt for a more low-key game. Just how patient are you?

Based on worlds that go beyond our deepest imaginations, these kits are a great option for your next murder mystery dinner party. Looking for a Unique Gift? We’ve Got You Covered. Imo the best of the bunch although I know some have mixed opinions on the series. The way the panorama and time systems work my group really enjoys and we've liked the stories in all the modules we've played. Prophecy of Dragons has been our favorite so far due to the depth of choices and amount of alternative paths you could take through that game. So far, every module has added a new and interesting set of twists on the game's mechanics that change the game in a radical way that we find very interesting. And the art and component quality are extremely good overall. The big complaint some groups have is the repeating loops (although this mechanic was removed in the second "season" of boxes). For my group this has never been an issue and we are generally able to fly through loops after the first without major issue. We've so far gotten all of them in 2 loops, and the optimization puzzle element of a second loop feels very rewarding to me, and makes remembering the little details feel important. The game does have a fair bit of potential for random time loss due to the required dice rolling, but this can usually be mitigated with character abilities and item use. This game also tends to have good puzzles, often having 1 or 2 "escape room" style puzzles (this is not in every scenario though). The item collection and trading puzzles work well but are pretty much the same as the other games in this genre. Each box is a standalone, but the first "white box" season of games requires the base set's components to play. This was ditched for true standalone boxes in the second "blue box" season. If that’s the case, you might want to opt for a mystery that’s rated as a little easier, something that’s not going to take you four-plus hours to solve. Otherwise, you’ll just end up frustrated and wondering why you didn’t buy a self-care subscription kit instead. And, if you do find that your chosen box is on the easier side, you can always go for something more difficult the next time. How much do you want to spend? Consider what you want out of each box you receive, what you need to make you happy with your decision, how much time you’re willing to set aside for the mystery and how much you’re willing to spend each time you get a new box. Once you’ve narrowed down these factors, you’ll be ready to dust off the detective cap and get to solving those mysteries.
