By the time they reached senior high school, they already have unspoken feelings for each other. They have also made a pact to enter a prestigious university together. However, Ding Xian couldn’t get enough marks to get into the same university as Si Yue. She opts to repeat another year at high school which means separation for both of them. She makes it the following year but Si Yue seems no longer interested in her. Our Secret Ending (Spoilers Alert!) Yes, Senior Su is also in love with Ding Xian. The rival for her affection only intensifies around Episode 18 onwards. Ding Xian did not give Senior Su any indication that she is interested in him although he keeps appearing by her side. He confesses his feelings to her in Episode 21 but gets rejected outright. She also feels that they are no longer the same type of people as he has put profits ahead of principles. With only 24 episodes, the drama doesn’t get bogged down with unnecessary details and long-winded subplots of all the issues mentioned above. Hence, the story is easy to follow. It is akin to the daily life of a high school student who develops feelings for the boy sitting next to her and vice-versa. Great Acting Ding Xian is a teenager who has just moved from a small town to the city. She gets to know Si Yue as their fathers are friends. Hence, they are living in the same neighborhood and attending the same school. Ding Xian also ends up sitting next to Si Yue in class.
Sha Di is Ding Xian’s best friend and classmate at school. She has known Zi Qi since they were kids and has feelings for him. Su Bo Cong / Senior Su Perfect for readers who love a good mix of sweet and sizzle, toe-curling kisses, swoony book boyfriends, and a happily ever after. This hard and cold reality hit Ding Xian quite severely when she started her high school year. Ding Xian was always proud of herself. She’s a hard-working student and her grades were good. She was her mother’s pride and joy. But when she moves into a bigger world (her high school), reality hits her hard because, in this new world, she was nobody. Her good grades were nothing, and she must strive hard to catch up with the lesson. And being in a new world without a friend to talk to is hard.

the FL did an excellent job in expressing a desk-mate who gradually falls in love with someone who she never thought she would and thinks he doens't reciprocate her feelings. she portrayed a girl chasing her love in a charming way and we can't help but root for this cute couple pairing. Zhou Si Yue and Ding Xian hid their feelings for many years. I guess that was what “Our Secret” was all about. They had to keep it to themselves because they were students and they had a bigger goal ahead of them. Also, they understand that their parents put so many expectations on them, that they can’t ignore them.
Ding Xian insisted on entering science class even though she must oppose her mother and Zhou Si Yue surprisingly wanted to enroll in liberal arts class. But, fortunately, Ding Xian came at the right time to give her application form to their teacher. Otherwise, they will miss each other for the next few years…😆 And Ding Xian also taught him that it’s okay not to be perfect all the time. Zhou Si Yue didn’t realize that he was burdened by the word perfection. Everybody saw him as the epitome of perfection and he was also afraid that Ding Xian only liked him because of his perfection. Only when he was facing difficulties, Zhao Si Yue was anxious that he couldn’t protect Ding Xian as he wanted to do. Ke Ke is Ding Xian’s schoolmate from a different class. She is a direct and bold girl with a crush on Si Yue. Jiang Chen I think it is clear that Our Secret will easily resonate with the younger viewers especially those who are still studying or have just left school. This is simply because the story is very typical of what a teenager would face in real life. However, for the older viewers, this might be a tad draggy. Their high school life spans 15 episodes which means if you don’t enjoy high school romances, this would not be as engaging. It is different from Forever Love which has a much shorter school life arc and a more matured couple.

In Episode 23, Senior Su quits his job which has caused him to lose his principles and life direction to chase after success. He also hands over evidence of Si Yue’s father’s innocence to Ding Xian when he had unsuccessfully used it to lure Si Yue to work with him earlier to steal information from a competitor. He and Ding Xian remain as friends. I really like this drama. Our Secret was heartwarming and reminded me of my high school years. It was the best time of my life, as well as the most confusing time. It was too bad that Our Secret only revolves around Zhou Si Yue and Ding Xian, whilst there was another couple, which is, Kong Sha Di (portrayed by Wang Yi Lan) and Song Zi Qi (Wang Ze Xuan), whose life is worth a story. Song Zi Qi is Zhou Si Yue’s best friend, while Kong Sha Di is Ding Xian’s best friend. The four of them sit near each other. Kong Sha Di was Song Zi Qi’s desk mate. He also tells Si Yue to treat Ding Xian well. The Side Couples Well, the romance was a bit slow burn but it didn’t make the story less interesting. In fact, I was enjoying Zhou Si Yue and Ding Xian’s interactions in high school. Their characters were lovable and cute.

When they rekindle their friendship now that they are roommates, old feelings and memories resurface. At the same time, Si Yue also overhears Ding Xian telling Senior Su that she is under a lot of pressure and feeling tired trying to keep up with him academically in Episode 15. Hence, he doesn’t want Ding Xian to put her own interest aside to chase after him by selecting the same course and research project. So, he denies that he has feelings for her in Episode 16. Our Secret is different from some other idol dramas like Love 020 which has unrealistically perfect characters. Ding Xian is like your typical teenager who is anxious in a new school and has to learn how to make friends. She is weak in Maths and doesn’t know how to refuse others. Si Yue is brainy and confident of his abilities but still has his moments of self-doubt.Mr. Zhou finally realized that his glory was nothing without his family around. His wife and son were far away from him, but they rushed to be with him when he encountered hardships. He regretted the way he made them wait for him. And Mrs. Zhou, who seemed weak and spoiled, was actually a forbearing person. It was super smooth for both of them. No parent’s disagreement or rejection. The only thing that they have to handle is a pot of porridge made by Mrs. Ding…😂 The Conclusion Ding Xian is Si Yue’s new neighbor and classmate at school. They also happen to sit next to each other in class. Ding Xian is an introvert. She is timid but can be very determined once she decides on a course of action. She also likes to draw and has a talent for it. Her father is a teacher at her school. Her mother is a housewife and a very strict parent. Rewatch and rewatch Never expected this drama to be so good. Everybody has such good chemistry and the plot is so good. Bear in mind that this is a school/youth genre, so don't expect too much crazy plot twists or strong villains.
