Be wary of pitching your tent too tight and stretching the fabric. Don’t force it into any position or put too much pressure on it. This is the main cause of rips and tears. Take the time to make sure it has some give and allow for a little extra room if it is especially windy. A minor shortcoming of the side-walls is the reason that I only gave this excellent shelter 9/10. The side-walls do not have any pegging loops to hold them steady in the wind. That was easily fixed, of course, by sewing three elasticated loops along the bottom edge. By happy accident, the rain-brow on the side door of the Air4 fits neatly under the eaves of the shelter. The air4 and the Trespass shelter could have been made for each other. Life really is rich here, beyond any dream we ever had of anywhere we expected to live. But there is one downside - we don't have any private outside space. We can't hang our washing out, nor hideaway when the day gets too much. The girls play out in the courtyard and in the main that is fine but there are guests coming through, volunteers heading to their houses and the neighbour's kids playing as well.
