About this deal

Final thing it gets right is that extra chapter. I won't spoil it, but I will say it added a sentimental touch that was pulled off well, and didn't feel like a cheat.

Mieruko-Chain can see the dead. She just chooses to ignore them. She doesn't want them knowing that she can see them. Mostly because she doesn't want them following her around everywhere. But when she goes to school and notices a lot of spirits following her best friend around she tries to find a solution to stop them from showing up so much. Hence we get plenty of funny situations and a rather sad and tender moment by the very end that made me want to read more. Hazra, Adriana (October 3, 2021). "Muse Asia Streams Mieruko-chan, Mushoku Tensei, 4 More Anime in October". Anime News Network . Retrieved October 10, 2021. And speaking of, I’m very nervous about this new spiritualist, who was apparently Godmother’s last apprentice and the one I suspect sent her that photo… The fact that she won’t teach people anymore and that he’s so… creepy make me wonder what may happen… bad enough Miko has those creepy shrine maidens to deal with… now she has this weirdo too? with its episodic nature. For example, chapter 4 + 4.5 melted my heart. While he characters and plot were predictable, the execution through pacing and art made it brilliant.this is a manga that starts off with one joke and a bizarrely leering camera, that eventually turns into something that is pretty good and interesting.

As a horror comedy, Mieruko-chan does its best to showcase the character personalities. This is especially true for our poster girl, Miko who shows her normal cool self while putting up a poker face whenever she sees the supernatural. In contrast, Hana injects a huge amount of her playfulness. Studio Passione takes adventage of opportunities to throw the pair together in both normal and awkward moments to stir up an audience reaction. Sometimes, that also includes the supernatural. And before anyone asks, there's actually a surprisingly amount of fan service in the show. It appears the anime loves to showcase Miko's chest and legs whenever it gets the chance. Thanks to her appetite, Hana is also a target for fan servicy camera angles, most specifically aimed at her boobs. It's similar to the manga but the anime turns it up for the first few episodes. Otherwise, I am pleased to say that the animation quality lives up to expectations with its colorful chereography, character designs, and highly decorated OP song performed by the ultra talented Sora Amamiya. Mieruko-chan is one of the best mangas I've had the pleasure to read recently. It's a very young publication, and there are only abut a dozen chapters out. Despite that, it is already showing a lot of potential and talent. The manga is well-paced, with well-crafted suspense, and provides both horrifying and humorous moments for its creativity to keep the reader engaged. The stories vary in length and tone, offering an actual progression and development of its world mix of short self-contained encounters and longer suspenseful arc-driven narratives. It gets better as it goes. I didn’t love the initial chapters - I can go another lifetime without seeing spirits made entirely of hands copping a feel on somebody and them not noticing. As I alluded to, there’s a lot of odd sexual moments in the depiction of the spirits - there’s a story about a couple who clearly deserve one another that is... phew... yep. That’s sure a design. The story - In terms of the story its basically a girl who can see weird creepy shit everywhere she goes. inc her own home. she goes on to pretend not to see these things. Later she meets others who can also see what she can. It gets pretty interesting sadly the chapters come out really slow.

As always, things go from perfectly fine to perfectly horrific at the drop of a hat and the creep factor is as creative as it ever was. This is certainly one of the most effective PSAs against movie piracy I’ve ever seen and they sure do manage to make a family restaurant the most disgusting place on earth. Final note: If you're wondering about character development, it's very subtle and very gradual but it *is* there. Which gives a bit of a realistic feel to Miko (but not the other characters), you can't expect someone who was suddenly able to "see things" to be able to immediately be okay with it. Mieruko-chan is great so far. As a fan of both horror and the Slice of Life genre, this series depicting the mundanity of everyday life spliced with the unearthly experiences of wandering creatures on earth gives a sense of personal connection to the reader.

Ending Theme

MIERUKO-CHAN was originally started as an internet series. When did the concept of “a girl who pretends she cannot see scary ghosts” come to you? With Mitsue the mystic at home after retiring (after meeting Miko and Hana) she gets a strange photo and discovers the girls may need more help than she realized. In the mean time as oblivious as Hana is life goes on even though Miko has met a few relatively dangerous ghost that have realized her talent and the emissaries of whatever she saw at the strange shrine with Hana have already helped her a few times so she wants to make an offering as thanks but instead discovers a whole lot of new ghosts and thankfully Mitsue who takes the poor girl under her wing. Something dark is potentially in the air and Miko is one of the few able to see it coming yet. Then there is this mysterious man connected to Mitsue somehow...will he be friend or foe is yet to be revealed. Pineda, Rafael Antonio (July 3, 2020). "Yen Press Licenses Unnamed Memory, 5 Other Novels, 6 Manga". Anime News Network . Retrieved February 15, 2021. I think here is where the series starts to move past its funny/creepy premise and really begin to develop Miko as a character in control of her own future. Starting to learn about the depth of her abilities is a very good thing. And is that a possible villain introduction here?
