About this deal

Using these components, you can make a variety of skeletons in multiple poses. A look at four built figures each armed in a different fashion. Battlesworn was the first expansion to be published and anticipation was high on my account. I expected an army book on one of the missing races, like Undead, but instead got something else entirely.

Ghoul: Well, I dont see any feasible combination with other unit types here, and a separate set, just for Ghouls is unlikely. Maybe a smaller box, if there ever be smaller boxes. In my opinion, the most likely here, is a cooperation with Mantic, as by the Frostgrave Undead Encounters set. Mantic has recently released some hard plastic halfling sets that look like they might mix well with WA's halflings; most of these have boots, helmets, and breastplate armor, which might work well for more heavily armored halflings; I think the weapons and top-hats and other heads look like they'd look great on rank-and-file halfling militia. Warseer Forum/EEFL Forum Games Workshop Fantasy release timeline: https://eefl.freeforums.net/thread/1622/games-workshop-fantasy-releases-timelineThe sculptor of these figures, Michael Anderson, actually built and painted his own miniatures. They look really good. Let’s take a look at what he did with them. A small Oathmark skeleton infantry group. The skeletons as archers. Skeleton Warriors with a mix of hand weapons and spears. A close up of a great looking skeleton guard. Special Figures As this is a mass combat game, you will find benefits to taking larger troop sizes for your infantry models. The maximum number of troops of one type that you can take is four and the maximum figures in a unit is 20. This means that you can field no more than 80 of a single model type. For most this won’t be a problem. Some kit bashing by Codex d’Araden (this also gives a further scale comparison to some more brands too)

First off for this Oathmark Review, I want to say that this book was an enjoyable read. It is a great book with high production values. I really like the combat rules and love that the game comes with campaign rules. There is not much “fluff” to the system, but I was never a fan of game “fluff” anyhow. I just want to roll dice and play games. Another Art Sample from Oathmark. I really like the images in this book. The illustrations have a nice style. Wrapping it up…I think we are trough with the missing units. Regarding monsters and artillery, I wouldn't make any prophecies, because there is only one official monster, and zero official artillery available. Thats to few to draw any lesson from it. And the characters?Northstar has a lot of metal miniatures, the tooling for metal casts is relativelyeasy to make, so there is everything possible! Thank you for joining me in this review of Wargames Atlantic’s 28mm plastic Skeleton Warriors box set. For people looking to make up an army of Skeleton Warriors at a great price, this is a fantastic option. The price is great and the minis inside are of really good quality.

Disclaimer: Wargames Atlantic sent me a copy of these miniatures for review. As a note, I also reviewed these on YouTube and there is an imbedded video at the end for those interested in watching my thorough review. The Box Art So instead of an army list this book offers bits and pieces to enrich your games, play on a different (wetter!) kind of table for a change and play campaigns. The book also contains three Military Expeditions. These are actually ready-to-play mini-campaigns of up to 4 scenarios that come with a few unique territories to be won.At 25 GBP you pay a bit less than a pound per miniature. So these are both great for skirmishers, either a warband of their own or to boost your NPC/monster pool, but work very well as a regiment builder. With the Revenants box, North Star added an elite option to their undead range, and I assume we can expect cavalry in the future as well (which would be a big plus, as plastic skeleton horses are hard to come by). Lets assume, that all of my tips will prove to be true, whatwill be still missing? Here is a list of the units (so no characters, no monsters, no artillery) from the books, which would be still needed:

Now that you have seen what I did with just the contents of the box, let’s look how how Codex d’Araden combined them with other products to make some unique minis. Kitbashing by Codex d’Araden

You might be able to get some use out of some 1/72 scale Napoleonic or American Civil War artillary, which would be small for 28mm human characters, but right at home with a Persianized halfling artillary team. Redbox makes a 1/72 16th-17th century Ottoman artillary set that should include some great guns, and the halfling-high figures might be a bit slender compared to halflings, but might include some great accessories to equip your halfling artillarists with. It looks like the miniatures will be typical to the North Star Military Figures plastic range in that the legs and bodies are integrated into the base with the arms, heads and weapon options being available to plug into place. Let's hope they aren't too fiddly to put together! Skeletons. The ubiquitous fantasy baddie. Whether guarding some broke treasure in a cave or gathering by thousands at the will of a necromancer, skeletons have been striking terror into the hearts of the living for ages. In this article we will look at 28-32mm plastic skeleton infantry kits from Games Workshop, past and present, and kits that are commonly available from other manufacturers. First we’ll dig up skeletons from the Games Workshop vault and look at how they have progressed to the latest kit. In the second section we will explore the offerings of other miniature companies and offer a comparison of features and price. The Line Up: From left to right: GW 1988, GW 1998, GW 2008, GW 2008(Grave Guard), GW 2021, Mantic, Oathmark, Wargames Atlantic, Warlord (Wargames Factory) Note: grid squares are 1/4 inch. Northstar's Frostgrave Crewmen and Wizards I kits include some heads wearing turbans and some miscellaneous weaponry and spell-casting gear that might come in handy for your project as well. Ah thats a shame about Neverboard, I wondered why they hadn't been posting up on facebook recently. I only used them occasionally though.
