I think the fact that you use your chisels every day is a large factor in keeping them rust free, specifically the oils from your skin. But, respectfully, for those of us who don’t use our tools every day 🙂 using them once then putting them away for a week or 2 pretty much guarantees rust. If you want a good set of workhorse chisels, you really can’t go wrong with the Stanley Sweethearts. They are very well-machined, stay sharp, and come flat. They are known for high-quality, premium hand-tools. Compared to the Stanley, they are superior, but they cost you a lot more. We use the word chisel in two ways. The word “chisel” is used when it is referring to the tool used to cut and carve into wood. “Chisel” can also be used to describe the process of cutting or shaping something with the chisel tool. Sure, you could go a bit cheaper and buy the Narex chisels, but then you also have to consider the lower build quality.

Otherwise, I recommend you to go for either eight pieces or at least four pieces set to make it a cost-effective buying.
