You can watch drama and thrillers, as well as the lighter side such as comedy and romance. I have also watched a ton of sports programmes which are epic, and I’ll feature those too. This is a drama show which is done really, really well, and tells the story. It’s captivating and it will keep you hooked.
In 2023 Season 2 of Winning Time began in August, and once again it’s great. Showtime have announced that the series has been cancelled, and Winning Time Season 2 will be the last. I could now, and if you want to, now’s the best time to start a binge watch. It’s all over with now, but there’s plenty of episodes to binge on, and it will take you some time to get through them all. The show is a coming of age kind of series, set around high school kids discovering themselves. It’s very hard hitting and edgy, and is all about drugs, sexuality, sex and the other dramas which circulate around old teens in the modern day. I watched the first series absolutely loved it, so watching the second series was a necessity. The show centres around 4 girls from Derry, Erin, Michelle, Orla and Clare, as well as Michelle’s cousin from England, James.A comedy drama coming of age series set in the 80s about a few friends who work at a rich country club is the best way to describe this. Every character is so likeable, there’s plenty of jokes and quotes running throughout the show, it’s brilliant. Episode Length: 1~ Hour (Seasons 4 & 5 are feature length 1-off specials which vary in length over 90 minutes) Disney dripped the episodes out to 1 per week which meant that you couldn’t binge watch the entire thing, but once all 8 episodes of the series have been aired after March you’ll be able to watch them all at your leisure. This is The Grand Tour/Top Gear but in a farm instead of a car. Oh and there’s a few sheep too. and now cows! The first series was set during the pandemic, with the 2nd series brand new for 2023.
The good news is that even though the 4th series has just started, a 5th will be on the way next year.
A similar sounding story with the geek and the popular girl, but it gets dark. Kate goes missing and it appears that Jeanette takes over her life.
It’s a brilliant show, and if you haven’t already seen it, you should catch up starting from the beginning. It’s a bit of a slow burner, but you’ll be glad you invested your time.Don’t worry, you don’t need to understand or even like American Football to enjoy this show. It’s all about the life of people inside the game, from agents to managers and players, similar to Entourage was for the film industry. It’s a lot more than basketball, with a lot of the show about the owners, and the struggles of players and all the staff within the team. It’s a brilliant watch.
One of the best shows in recent years was Chernobyl. I’ve always been fascinated with the terrible disaster that has been known as Chernobyl, but never knew much about it. Who doesn’t love a prequel? Well many don’t, but if you were a fan of Game Of Thrones this is one you’re going to want to watch. House Of The Dragon has just started this year, so fans who are missing Game Of Thrones have this to sink their teeth into. I definitely recommend watching this if you want a good drama, you don’t need to have played the game to enjoy it. There’s work life, boyfriends and just going through life in general. It’s a really easy to watch show, and you’ll find yourself sitting down and binging on several shows all at once, if not entire series. One of the most watched and talked about series on Netflix around the world has to be Squid Game. The 9 episode series imported from Korea sees players play in a real life survival style game with 456 players.
If you like shows such as Girls, The Bold Type or Derry Girls, you’re likely to love Shrill. It kind of reminds me of Girls the most. It a comedy which centres around a girl called Annie, who is a young woman making her way through life as an overweight girl.
