A young woman named Erin Lattimer goes on the run with her two children, Amy and Charlie, to escape her abusive husband Darren. I didn't read the book too deeply, because there isn't a lot of depth to it - by this I mean, there was no metaphor, allegory, or symbolism. Events that happened are described in this book, and that's all there is to it. Some part were recycled from the previous book, Daddy's Little Earner.I still think it's a good inspirational book.The author, indeed a very strong courageous person.At one point you couldn't help but feel angry towards her silly decisions, but that's what made her for who she is today. Jerkass Has a Point: When Erin threatens to call the police, Darren is right that there is no chance they'll believe her that Darren is abusing her since he's a respected District Attorney. Although there have been quite a few abused wife on the run LMN movies, this one is better than average. The pace is fast and the escape is quite exciting with the way too efficient cops on their tails. The cast is likable.
This book was so annoying because the amount of sheer copying from the previous book was incredible, just full sentences and small paragraphs copy and pasted from the first book into the second, i actually can't believe it. He sexually abused her .... he emotionally cut her down, and he "trained" her to be a prostitute. In effect, her father was her pimp from the tender age of a young teenager. Once you get the keys, head to the trap door, open it, and head through it. On a the left side of this underground area is a red lawnmower type vehicle, and on top of it is an antique coin - important items you use to buy upgrades. I find the structure to be overly repetitive. Almost as if she is convincing herself of things as she pens. However, it's clear this is a sequel and a form of therapy for her and a way to put it all behind her once and for all. Not the best I have read, I wonder whether I would change my opinion if I had read her first. Surprise Pregnancy: Stacy is revealed to be pregnant which she secretly reveals to Erin. It has been only two months, though she hasn't told Jason yet.
