About this deal

According to the product labeling, a person should apply 1–2 drops to their eyes before they go to sleep. Lubricating eye drops act like a person’s tears. They support the natural film of tears on the eye and increase moisture. Use the carmellose sodium eye drops within the expiry date on the bottle. Use them within 4 weeks of opening, unless your drops come with different instructions. This will help to prevent the risk of eye infections and the eye drops not working so well. Ask a pharmacist if you are not sure. Overusing eye drops can cause irritation. A person can follow the instructions given by the manufacturer to avoid irritation.

There are no other eye drops that contain both carmellose sodium and glycerol as the active ingredients. This long lasting protection and relief from dry eyes may make this eye gel beneficial for people who look at digital screens, such as their phone or a computer, for long periods. A person can use these gel drops during the day or at night. The body produces tears from glands above the eyes. The tears spread over the cornea when a person blinks, then drain into the tear ducts, which sit between the nose and the inside corners of the eyes. Medicines suitable to be prescribed in primary care / general practice after specialist* recommendation or initiation.

This product may suit people whose eyes are dry at night, as GenTeal does not recommend these gel drops for the daytime. General Use. May be initiated by primary or secondary care. Suitable for non specialist prescribing. These eye drops should not be used for more than six months after the bottle is first opened. This is because after this time they could be contaminated with dirt or germs that could cause eye infections. Write the date of opening on the bottle so you know when to throw them away.
