A tune of note was ‘Country Roads’ (the classic John Denver song from 1971) given the inevitable reggae slant – West Virginia substituted by West Jamaica – which was included as a tribute to a close friend who had recently passed away. The chemistry between Fishell and his bandmates, Brian McRae on drums and Mario Pagliarulo on bass, is undeniable. Their tight-knit rhythm section provides the foundation for Fishell to unleash his electrifying guitar solos and deliver his impassioned vocals. The synergy between the musicians is palpable, adding an extra layer of intensity to the album.
