After watching the first episode of the anime I knew I had to have more of this series and I got super happy seeing there's 26 episodes rather than a mere 13. Synopsis: After dealing with several demonic enemies aboard the Infinity Train, Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke must face the demon spirit of the train itself! Even if they can stop the demon train, the minions of Muzan Kibutsuji are still out there and Tanjiro must continue to improve his strength and skills. Learning the secret of the Hikonami Kagura and Flame Breathing will give him a powerful new advantage. The Demon Slayer manga series comprises 23 volumes, totaling 205 chapters. It's a story that will keep you reading and wanting more! After much hesitation, I let my 11 year old daughter watch this. She loves it! It does get quite violent and even she flinches sometimes, so if your child is a bit jumpy or sensitive to things like blood, murder ect. then I would not recommend . Overall, it does have some very positive messages and lots of sibling love. Now to talk about the first episode. Adult supervision recommended, especially if your child has nightmares about their parents or family being murdered. My daughter honestly didn’t get bothered much by it, but some others may have. It also does have some swearing here and there, but nothing too bad from what I’ve seen. I know this review is getting long so let’s wrap it up. My daughter really liked it, and the only way to really judge it is by watching it yourself. Not exactly family friendly, but some may really enjoy it. It’s based on what type of things your kid can and can’t handle. Kyojuro is one of my favorite characters. I mean... they kinda all are but he just... he’s special. The ending was also very satisfying. many people die in this manga but the way it shows their happiness after they die really made me cry and happy for them.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Vol. 1: Cruelty: Volume 1

Meanwhile, deep within Infinity Castle, Tanjiro and his friends come face-to-face with their nemesis at last… Learning to slay Demons won't be easy, and Tanjiro barely knows where to start. The Demon Slayer manga series, also known as Kimetsu no Yaiba in Japanese, is a gripping tale of determination, courage, and family bonds. It has beautiful picture illustrations, a compelling plot, and well-rounded characters. It's a fantastic read for both manga and comic lovers, and even inspired an anime adaptation! Kimetsu" is part of the original Japanese title of the series, "Kimetsu no Yaiba", which translates to "Demon Slayer". It's a series filled with intense battles, heartwarming moments, and a compelling underlying theme of family and love. Synopsis: Savage demons devour unsuspecting humans in Taisho-era Japan. Armed with special swords, the Demon Slayer Corps fights to stop the devastation demons spread. Giyu Tomioka, the sole Water Hashira, and Kyojuro Rengoku, a high-ranking Kinoe, embark on missions to eliminate demons and prove their mettle as two of the fiercest Demon Slayers. That might not seem like much considering this is Goodreads and all we do here is read and talk/think about reading. But if the manga has an anime by the time I want to get into the series, I am much more likely to watch the anime and skip the manga entirely. I'm not even interested in reading the manga for most of my top favorite animes. So for me it's a big deal. Because sure there are times when I'll mark the manga on my tbr, but that doesn't indicate the likelihood of me ever getting to reading it (I've got over 1.5k manga series on my tbr on Myanimelist). Kimetsu No Yaiba starts great. Volume one sets everything: Tanjirou's mission, expositions about demons and demon slayers, the trainings and final challenges. It is a by-the-book shounen manga that follows all the beats of a tried and tested "coming of age" outline, but done very awesomely by Koyoharu Gotouge.

It’s good, just similar to other manga I’ve read. I found it predictable. It’s charming, for sure. I just wish I had came across this earlier in my otaku career. A good description of this would be “bland but trying not be.” El arte del manga es muy similar al anime. Me agrada. Es prolijo, lindo y siento que tiene un toque diferente. Creo que la animación le hace justicia y lo mantiene fiel. In Taisho-era Japan, kindhearted Tanjiro Kamado makes a living selling charcoal. But his peaceful life is shattered when a demon slaughters his entire family. His little sister Nezuko is the only survivor, but she has been transformed into a demon herself! Tanjiro sets out on a dangerous journey to find a way to return his sister to normal and destroy the demon who ruined his life.

Synopsis: Tanjiro finally chases down the main body of the upper-rank demon Hantengu. However, dawn is approaching, and the rising sun is a threat to Nezuko. Tanjiro's concern for his sister is a distraction from the focus he needs to fight Hantengu, and if he hesitates it could be the last mistake he makes! Elsewhere, Tamayo ponders the nature of Nezuko's curse and how she could be so different from other demons. Synopsis: Despite some comedic misunderstandings that almost blew their cover, Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu have smoked out Daki, a Demon that has been devouring the residents of an entertainment district for years. The Hashira Tengen Uzui and his ninja companions engage Daki, but if they cannot handle her, what chance do Tanjiro and his friends have of taking on one of Kibutsuji's Upper-Rank Demons by themselves? Synopsis: For the first time in over 100 years, the upper ranks of Muzan Kibutsuji's Twelve Kizuki are not full. Angered, Muzan dispatches the survivors on another mission. Elsewhere, Tanjiro journeys to a village of swordsmiths and has to explain how his sword was so badly damaged to Hotaru Haganezuka, the swordsmith who made it. While Tanjiro waits for his sword to be repaired, enemies close in… Demon Slayer has lots of scary imagery, since it's about. And, even some of the situations the characters are in can frighten some viewers, such as the main character's family being slaughtered by the hands of a demon lord. I'm pretty sure there is some alcohol references, but I'm not sure. There is a lot of blood and a little bit of gore, usually when they chop off a demon's head. There is a few characters (Zenitsu, Tengen) who love women a lot but don't say anything too explicit. There is also a girl who wears something revealing (Mitsuri), but she is not sexualized. Demon Slayer has some good morals, such as moving on and never giving up. Unlike some anime, this has a good message! I finally gave in to the hype and read Demon Slayer! It’s actually really good!! Gives me InuYasha vibes; this is going to be a classic anime/manga for future generations. So far I really love it. I like that it’s creepy and violent and I adore Tanjiro’s kindness in the face of demons.
