About this deal

Tyler's best What can I say, this is Tyler's best. Nothing he has done has been close to how amazing Igor is. It is so much different then what he did before and it was still amazing. The beats and lyrics show a story and you can feel every emotion that he is having. It feels like he was putting exactly what he was feeling into this album. On songs like EARFQUAKE he really shows how much sadness he is feeling while there are songs like WHATS GOOD and NEW MAGIC WAND where he is almost trying to act like he does not care. These songs acted more like songs from his past with more rapping and harder instrumentals but they still perfectly fit the vibe of the album. While Flowerboy was kind of close to this no one saw what he was going to do. He changed everything that he had done before and it was for the good. Every song on here has a place even songs like RUNNING OUT OF TIME which I don't even really like that much (reason for score). This truly is his best and even listening to the beats by themselves would make you think it. The 50 best albums of 2019 – from Tyler, the Creator's IGOR to Weyes Blood's Titanic Rising". Not only a bold choice as an opener, being an instrumental, but also deeply layered and expertly produced. The section where the drums drop out and the vocals harmonise over the piano chords hits so hard, the voices almost meld into each other and they’re such a perfect intro to the soul elements, along with the closing fuzzy synth section, which in turn introduces the albums more distorted elements.

But as his Cherubini was as good as his Mozart and his Mozart as astutely directed as his Beethoven and his command of somewhat overlooked French repertoire, such as Gounod’s Second Symphony, as secure as his Damnation of Faust, you can sense that the pleasures enshrined in this box are – to be simplistic – two-fold: frequently inspired interpretations across a variety of repertoire, both well-known and obscure. a b Spielberger, Danial (May 20, 2019). "Watch Tyler, The Creator's live IGOR concert for Apple Music". The Fader. Archived from the original on September 18, 2020 . Retrieved August 14, 2019. THE BEST ALBUM IVE EVER HEARD This album is home to my favorite instrumentals of any album. Even if we completely ignore every perfect vocal performance, or any story or conceptual additions to this album it would still likely be in my top 10 of all time. The weird and hazy, yet incredibly boppy and fun synths so perfectly blend with the perfect bass tone and lines. When the synths enter a wavy dream of perfectness, bobbing up and down like a tsunami heading towards a town, flying high, reaching the sky, before crashing down and delivering just the best sounds I've ever heard, it's amazing. I wouldn't change any part of this album, it is all simply magnificent. I genuinely couldn't speak the first time I finished this record., it was that good. I highly recommend listening to the album before reading my song by song review of this work of art.

It's my second IGOR record, and I can say that this one sounds much better. Maybe because this is a US version. Amazing cover artwork, really love this. Thematically, IGOR’s arc describes a love story: falling madly in love but eventually breaking it off and accepting that the relationship is over while attempting to remain friends.

The record eventually comes to the explosive middle part "New Magic Wand", which clearly shows all of Igor's feelings, even without listening to the lyrics. The hard bass, aggresive drums and the 4th verse just give me the goosebumps every, single time. Yates, Siena (May 23, 2019). "Album review: Tyler the Creator, IGOR". The New Zealand Herald.
