About this deal

This screenplay was written by guys who have never talked to another human being before. Every line of dialogue is contrived and laughably on the nose, with exposition delivered in a way that sometimes makes Marvel's Eternals feel like a masterclass of writing.

Pull him up to net with good drop shots or low, skidding slices. This is a risky play, because if your short ball sits up at all, he'll put it away. If you hit a good short ball though, you'll force him to try to play the net, and a lot of power baseliners don't volley well. CatchValue = ((( 3 * Max HP - 2 * HP ) * ((Catch Rate * 4) * 1 ) / (3 * Max HP) ) * Status ModifierIn Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, if the wild Pokémon is part of an evolutionary family that includes a Pokémon who evolves by using a Moon Stone, it has a 4× catch rate modifier; otherwise, it has a 1× modifier. This item cannot be given to Pokémon to hold in HeartGold & SoulSilver. If a Pokémon is captured in this PokéBall and traded to Diamond, Pearl or Platinum, it will revert in those games to an ordinary PokéBall. Concentrate on aim. Don't look at the incoming opponent or at where you want the ball to go. Keep looking at the ball while you aim either down the line, at the corner of the service box crosscourt, into her body, at her feet, or lobbed over her head.

Today's players swing as hard as they can on almost every shot, yet hardly ever miss. A weak approach to either corner is a death sentence, but by approaching deep down the middle, you avoid giving your opponent any angle with which to pass you. It’s simple geometry, and also provides more options on the ensuing volley. In Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver only, Moon Balls cannot be held. This is to prevent them being held by a Pokémon traded to Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, where the item does not exist. In Teddiursa's Picnic, a Moon Ball appeared in a fantasy during Maizie's explanation about Apricorn Poké Balls. This shot—with an emphasis on depth—is one of the most underrated and underutilized shots in tennis. Denis Kudla said this about Rafael Nadal, “most players can pass you either cross court or down the line, but Rafa can literally hit the ball around you with his forehand.”

Stadium Bag Policies

In Going Apricorn!, a Moon Ball appeared in a fantasy during Maizie's explanation about Apricorn Poké Balls.

The story has enough logical holes to fit the moon through. Convenience piles on top of convenience to make catastrophe possible, and then to help the characters survive the catastrophe. It's a script that can't withstand even the slightest amount of logical thought.

Stadium Concession Stands

Being able to surprise opponents with a different spin from your forehand side is handy, especially in the rec game. This shot shouldn’t be hit timidly; take a short but firm swing (watch the video above, featuring slice savant John Newcombe, to see how it's done). It works as an aggressive return against big servers, and as a method to change pace. It can help create sharp angles and aid in charging the net. During rallies, a forehand slice will throw off your opponent because it’s seemingly taboo to hit—and therein lies its beauty. A somewhat different Poké Ball that is more effective when catching Pokémon that can be evolved using a Moon Stone.
