About this deal

I definitely got a lot from this book, and I loved the mixture of 'self-help'/'self-care' writing, along with anecdotes from Laura Whitmore's own life. It was nice to get a slightly closer look into Whitmore's early life too. She is a very private person, so there isn't too much detail but it was welcomed nevertheless. Each section ends with an affirmation, and a summary - which means that the book is good for dipping in and out as well as reading in one go (like I did!) Life won’t stand still so neither should you. You want something, go get it. Your life is your story and you get to write it. And, while writing it, make it the best story it can be – even if it doesn’t have a flying dog or an eighties theme tune. It’s a great story because you have the privilege of living it. And it is your choice, and only yours, to live happily” People often believe that dreams, goals and passions are only for children. Once you are out of the college, you have to settle for things like a good job, own house and having a spouse and children. But passions aren’t restricted to age. Passion is what keeps a person going. Have new passions or work on one single passion but never live a passionless life There is advice about friendships, relationships, social media etc, and she puts a positive spin on every lesson that she’s learnt. The book is relatable and uplifting – Whitmore takes us on a positive and uplifting journey! This book has given me so much to take away, and it is definitely one that I will reread/re-listen too. I'm sure I will get something new from it every time. I recommend this to anyone - whether you're a fan of Laura Whitmore or not. It makes you take a new stance on life, and being comfortable in your own skin!!

Life is a Race But Not Everyone Has The Same Starting Point’ Believes the Motivational Speaker Sriram Athri She gives a raw account of her struggles, whilst using humor , it’s like sitting with a friend. Giving advice along the way.I like Laura Whitmore anyway so I could be slightly biased but the book is written as if you’re in communication with one another.

You have just as much right as the next person to be wrong, to have an off-day, or to ask for help.” There are many things in life you have zero control over. You can’t force your husband to change, you can’t prevent a storm from happening, and you can’t control how other people feel. All you can control is your effort and your attitude and your truth. When you put your energy into the things you can control, you’ll be much more effective.” Change is so many things. It’s scary, exciting, and unpredictable, but most of all its necessary. So work towards bringing the positive change in your life. This is your life and you need to think about how you feel about things and not how you should act based on other people’s”

I was looking forward to reading this book, No One Can Change Your Life Except For You, and having finished it I'm still not sure what I thought. Whilst at times I quite liked this book there were other times where I wasn't enjoying it at all.
