We were less impressed with the phone’s Portrait Video capabilities, which come nowhere close to the magic of Apple’s iPhone 13 line’s Cinematic mode video (it needs a face in frame to work). The auto-framing capability, which literally zooms the camera in and out to keep people in frame, doesn’t seem all that useful – we suspect it needs more refinement. If you’re in any doubt that this is a Note in S Series clothing, you need only to press that slight bump on the base and pop out the familiar and light S Pen. It’s all the things a Samsung S Pen should be, giving up nothing for its new Galaxy S22 Ultra home. More on the stylus later.

While we don’t like the marketing term, the phone’s night-time and low-light photographic skills are clear. It can brighten a night sky to near daytime, capture the moon or your face in poor lighting, and has some long-exposure skills too.

Up to 32 people can be connected at once. Video quality may vary depending on the number of participants, network conditions, country and carrier. Before this, I was using One Plus 7 Pro and the S22 Ultra makes it feel like a Xiaomi phone. I was not ready to be blown away considering that OP7P is a pretty good phone to begin with. But it improves on every aspect of a 2-3 year old flagship and this is Android at it's peak (until Samsung comes out with another banger next year) Battery life was more of a mixed bag. We did get a full day of solid use (18 hours or so), but we thought we might get more out of the massive 5,000 mAh battery and high-performance, energy-efficient CPU. In our estimation, the S Pen is a wildly useful implement and, despite its small size (small for this reviewer’s hands anyway), it’s an effective drawing implement. We opened Sketchbook and had a great time drawing, especially because the pen and screen recognize pressure and angle.

Users must link their Galaxy smartphones to their Windows 10 PC through ‘Link to Windows’ on phone and Your Phone App on PC, follow the set-up prompts, including being signed into same Microsoft account. Virtually every image we shot looked great, even if we did detect a hint of over-saturation (it wouldn’t be Samsung if they didn’t over-saturate the image). Phone has built-in call recording feature (atleast in India) without the stupid voice announcement. As of 2022-2023, Samsung, iQOO and Vivo phones are the only phones that provide this feature. All other phones come with Google Dialer with the stupid voice announcement. On OnePlus phones, user can install ODialer (from Google Play Store) to enable automatic silent call recording. Feature rich software: This has both plus and minus points. Minus because more and more features means more chance of bugs and device slowing down due to bloatware. It also consumes battery. On the positive side, you can do a lot of things, although much of it is fancy, non-essential stuff. The display puts other mobile based OLED screens to shame. It is difficult to describe in words and you will have to see it for yourself, but the colors, sharpness of the text, adaptive refresh rate, QHD+ resolution is a sight to behold if you don't care about the battery life (which I don't) and I chose to not make any compromises with my experience of using this phone.

With the connection complete, we were able to control our phone through the desktop using our mouse; we even ran Asphalt 9 for a hot second before the connection crashed. Availability of Bixby features and content providers may vary depending on country or language. Data/Wi-Fi required to fully operate Bixby features. Some mobile apps may restrict content to be shared on other screens or may require a touch screen to be able to interact with them. So that sums up my experience with the phone over 10 months of use.
