About this deal

All the evidence points to Robert's guilt, but as the trial begins a series of sinister incidents in the court room start to raise doubts in Eddie's mind. The feats she achieved was excessive and impressive, she really had the skills and the body count to be on the payroll of any national government. Having said that, there were many scenes in Fifty Fifty that I felt had been described vividly, so much so I could easily picture them in my mind.

Fifty-Fifty By Steve Cavanagh |The Works

Eddie prides himself on being to pick an innocent client and knowing what verdict the jury will bring back, but Fifty-Fifty isn’t that clearcut.Split between the perspectives of Eddie, the lawyer working for Sofia’s sister, Alexandra, and the chilling voice of the unidentified killer, this thriller is bucketloads of creepy fun. Kate was undeniably an empowered, independent and career driven woman, which was a refreshing role to see. Sitting in a jail cell, about to go on trial with her sister for murder, you might think that this is the last place she expected to be. It’s the fifth in the Eddie Flynn series, but it is a self-contained case, and a new beginning for Eddie in some ways — and that’s why it is the perfect book to break into this series.

I have only recently joined and trying to download the steve cavanagh audio (already purchased the physical books). The problem is that Tabitha can’t remember the details of what happened on the day Stuart Rees’s corpse was found in the shed outside her house; she suffers from severe depression and “she couldn’t remember that day, or only a few snatches. She is not only convinced that her sister murdered him, but also believes that she has the murder weapon and has not yet left the house. combines electric plotting with vivid evocations of the impact of emotionally abusive parenting and sexual harassment at work.Flat characters who's personalities are not expressed within a story can often lower my enjoyment of a book, given I feel a lack of investment in their journey. The supporting cast are suitably helpful in a pondering way in pitting their wits against a revealed strategic mastermind and the rest are regular stereotypes that assist in making Fifty Fifty an engaging lightweight read. It was hard to side with either party during the case, since I felt both lawyers were strong, likable characters that offered a huge deal to the plot - as did their side kicks. From just reading the blurb I knew it was right up my street, which was solidified from the fact I struggled to put it down the entire one week it took me to finish, if that. One thing I have been trying to implement more of into my routine since we fell into a third lockdown in January is reading.
