About this deal

This gin reminded some of our testers of cherry bakewell, with many enjoying its fresh forest fruit qualities. Complex and sweet, the texture of this gin is smooth and warming, with the juniper-led gin flavours, and the sloe and blackberry flavours marrying well. The heat of the alcohol was a bit too prominent for some, however, but overall it was found to have an enjoyable, smooth texture. Add 25ml of Gordon’s gin, 25ml of Gordon’s Sloe gin, 25ml of lemon juice and 15ml of sugar syrup, then give it a good shake. This sloe gin has a nice drying texture and spice, but could do with a little less kick from the alcohol.

Look no further as DrinkSupermarket has a range of sloe gins from names such as Monkey 47, Gordon's and Sipsmith. Using ingredients foraged from in and around East London and Essex, we loved its sweetness and smooth texture. A harmony of bold fruit and tart berry flavours, rounded out by the dry, crisp juniper of the underlying gin and a light touch of residual sweetness. The juniper flavours could be stronger, but testers were happy with the pleasurable warmth and texture.Prepared from wild sloe berries and Gordon’s gin – Gordon’s Sloe Gin is a traditional British treasure.
