About this deal

Risk has been around since the dawn of man, but it only recently started getting some fun and interesting spins on the classic formula, like with Risk: Warhammer 40,000. So, whilst a player may have 5 armies in an attacking territory, and can only attack a defending territory with 3 armies, should they conquer the defending territory, they can then move 4 armies into that territory, leaving one army behind to defend.

There is also a Golden Cavalry piece used to mark the progressive turn-in value of matched sets of territory cards. We will use anonymous information about the ad you saw and how you engaged with it to measure and improve our advertising campaigns in the future. There is no mechanism for it, but the game does encourage alliances, truces and ganging-up in the meta-game, all of which is much more satisfyingly complex with a higher player count.

If the conquering player has six [10] or more Risk cards after taking the cards of another player, the cards must be immediately turned in for reinforcements until the player has fewer than five cards and then may continue attacking.

Starting with the first player, players take it in turns to place a single army into a territory of their choosing until all the territories have been claimed. Ultramarines, Orks, Chaos Space Marines, Aeldari Craftworlds and Genestealer Cults battle for control of the planet of Vigilus. You can play everything from massive planet-shaking battles to fast-paced games with smaller armies. Many people love to play games against friends, family, and other members of the Warhammer community. In Deathwatch Overkill, those components revolve around small skirmishes between a team of Deathwatch Space Marines and Genestealer Cults hybrids. The moment one of these victory conditions has been met by the respective faction, the game is over and that faction has won. Castle Risk was the first version of Risk released after 27 years of production to depart from standard play.

Capturing a territory depends on the number of attacking and defending armies and the associated probabilities. Warhammer Quest Cursed City, released amid some controversy in 2021, took the setting out of the dungeon and into the streets of a sinister city. Once you’ve moved all your armies and your turn is at its end, if you conquered at least 1 enemy territory in the course of your turn, you must draw 1 Territory Card from the deck and add it to your hand. At the end of a player's turn, they may move armies from one of their territories to another "connected" territory. This is especially true earlier on in gameplay, because extra armies make a greater difference in the beginning of the game.
